He was a Senior Consulting Engineer at Digital Equipment Corporation in Littleton, Mass and then a professor of Computer and Information Sciences at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. He is a winner of 2018 James B. Eads Award from Academy of Science, Saint Louis, ACM SIGCOMM Lifetime Achievement Award 2017, 2015 A. A.
